Peroxide for Hair Algae?

I have been battling Hair Algae for the longest, which I think is hair algae anyway. I heard using peroxide will kill it. However, do you dip it or dose it?

I recently put a 5 gal bucket with some peroxide and saltwater and dumped multiple rocks in for a few minutes, rinse with saltwater and then put it back in tank. Seemed to work good

I pull the rock & then spray it on with a syringe, let it stand a few minutes & back it goes.

Something like the above post for liverock. You can dip corals. You can dose the tank. Justin from Credebal Labs spoke at a WAMAS meeting about it so I took a lot of notes. I have dipped LPS, zoanthids, orange monti, and pavona with no problem, a 3 to 5 minute soak and then a little scrubbing with a toothbrush to remove the dead algae.

Working on getting this tank back in shape... First pic is the day before Thanksgiving and the second is the day after Christmas. Only change is vibrant, and my mp10 died last month so I swapped out an mp40 I had laying around.

This tank had a rough time after a move with some delay due to flooring... It's almost recovered but I lost a lot on the way
