So I had noticed one of my millis not looking so hot. So I removed the piece and inspecting it a little closer...Well this is what I found on the bottom of the base. What type of eggs are we looking at? Red bug, Snails etc. Let me know what you guys think?

Thanks

AEFW eggs - lots of them too. Look for them on other Acros - they love Milles. You have a big problem on your hands.

AEFW for sure. You can see the tell tale lesions. If you look far right it appears there is a worm in sight. If you take your frag out of water for about 2 minutes it makes the worms easier to see. Put the frag in a bowl and blast with a turkey baster and they will fly off........either way that is a TON of eggs.

That's defiantly not good man! I would throw away all the mille's, maybe save a couple tips after you dip them and look the over very very good.

Check all your smoothskin corals, get familiar with what 'bite marks' look like from acro eating flats and hope for the best!

Wow, that is the biggest patch of devil eggs I have ever seen! I hope your tank isn't large and full of acropora... :(

You need to do some research on acropora eating flatworms. Dipping every acro for 8 weeks every week while removing all eggs each time will get rid of them if your vigilant and strict with your dipping procedure.

A tank shot would be nice to see or other pics of affected corals, so people can learn what these things look like and do. Thanks for sharing and good luck!!

That's what I've done in the past. Chuck 'em out. Save some frags in a QT. I sure hope this tank isn't full of big colonies.

I thought this was a joke at first. So sorry to hear its not. I still cringe when I see these damn eggs. GL on the battle

That is one of the worst infestations photos I've seen...so sorry. :(

I battled AEFW's last November. I spent 3 months dipping about 20 frags/colonies. My tank is now AEFW free. I inspect my coral every few nights, and still carry out random dips once a month. As far as I know, I am free of the devil of a pest.

Let me know if you want to discuss anything relating to this.

Judging that the majority of those eggs are hatched... I'm going to go out on a limb and say this ones elbows deep in a fight against an acropora lovers nemesis!
