Vote pests. Looks like an acropora valida. Any time I've encountered acro pests usually valida is the first one to go. Must be an especially tasty species

Until you see them eating the actual acropora flesh I would say they are arthropods of some sort foraging dead stuff off the newly rtned sections of the acros skeleton. The pictures of black bugs look smaller that thoes. I see arthropods in my tank like that all the time.

But why are you keeping that coral? Personally, it looks finished to me.
Why not toss it? And the bugs that rode in on it?

Was hoping this would stop. It's also encrusted skeleton onto my rock. I'll get rid of it and dip it.

It's not an acro valida. It was a plum crazy.

I agree those are just pods cleaning up from STN/RTN. Too big for black or red bugs and don't look like aefw at all.
