Matty....sounds good to me...I go in every week and yak with those people...(thats how I found out about the RO water that is not really RO water now....)

Corporate made then take out the 90 gal display they hade....Why?? You sell salt water so have a sample display...that is marketing...

very simple when i was there that was there stable tank but what happens when u start sellin stuff out of a display and taking 160 lbs of live rock out till theres 1 or 2 pieces left tank crash.

ellen is a nice lady but on saltwater standards unless something has changed in the past 6 months she is a pure amatuer kinda like a caveman with fire. why did i leave same reason u all complain ccompany crap , the fact i care and tell ppl what they dun wanna hear like no i will not sell u a trigger for a 10 gallon etc or that i do not recommind u startin a saltwater system under 55 gallons and even thats hartd or the fact id tell ppl other places to by skimmers etc cuz all they sell is overpriced 1s that are not effective, i wont lie ive got fish from there but when i could keep my eye on them for along time.not lying i also left because my new job is alot higher paying.

Ps how u doin lil paul.

Well, I did get to stop by for a short time. I had an orchestra rehearsal to get to near the hall of fame, so I couldn't stay for long.

The first things that I saw were the damsel tanks. I saw at least 4 or 5 dead, or near lifeless, damsels. Not a very good start...
Then I moved to the clowns and basslets, I didn't spend much time looking there, as I was not interested in clowns! I did see a couple of fuzzy dwarf lions... one of them did not look very good, but the other seemed to be okay.

Next, I walked into the center section... I was a little more impressed at this point. It seems as if they were able to get a shipment of some tank bred fish. I'm a big advocate of that. The little PJ cardinals looked great. The flame angel in the tank with them looked equally as good. However, for such a small flame, the price baffled me a bit. But, it was still a fair price at $54.99.

Obviously, their coral selection was small to non-existent... but, hey, it is Petco!

Overall, I would say that it is an above average Petco. Maybe I came at the wrong time, but there was nobody around to talk to, even if I would have had the time. The dead damsels bothered me, but they could be dead for a number of reasons: agression with like species, sickness upon shipment, or just lack of care...

Anyways, I would have felt very comfortable purchasing the PJ cardinals, neon cleaner gobies, or the flame angel. Of the fish that I looked at closely, they are the only ones I would take home. There were SEVERAL tanks that I didn't look at closely though.

Lucky to have a nice Petco, but you'd be luckier to have a "Phishy Business" (referring to any well run small SW business).

yeah i agree i just wish we could find someone to open the highest quality store, i really wish i could see the effort of wet pets to turn into a canton salty critter, if that was the case, i think the could survive on reef sales alone and wouldnt have to worry about freshwater
