thier fate has been sealed! :hammer:

I told them at least 3 times that the rock was for Zoas not Rics.

But just to keep some of you happy, I'll see if I can get a knife to them

I was killling the Majanos again tonight and decided to take a few top down pictures - the 400's are starting to make some nice color improvements on the corals

I love how everything is coloring up Pete.

Did you snap any pics of the new plate coral and fish?

Have your clowns started hosting the plate yet?

No pictures yet

the new wrasse comes out for a few hours then goes back into hiding. I'll have to give him a few days to get se to his new surroundings. The plate coral is doing nicely but it's completely on the other side of the tank so I doubt if the clowns will ever find it as they just don't venture that far. Ill go take some pictures here in a few minutes.

That plate you have is a Heliofungia. Aren't those strange looking?

That plate coral is gorgeous Pete. I keep two large BTA to get that kind of "swaying and swishing in the current" effect. It's my favorite thing to watch in the tank.

Best of all, that plate coral won't up and decide to walk around and kill everything. I'm afraid that my sherman BTA is about to split, it's stretching itself out really wide. I've no idea where a new anemone would plan to go.

PS: That leather is looking much better too. It was a little worse for wear when it first came into your tank, now it's really starting to shine.

Thanks for the pics again Pete. IGAS. :)

my wife is in the same frame of mind - loves the flowing stuff and was not happy when I got rid of all my xenia

thanks Tony, the leather still has a section on the base with no polyps. I have no idea if this is an issue or normal as it grows out.

im sure my wife cares about that ALOT more than i do!

hey pete, I recall you had some STN at the base of a large birdnest colony. Is that still ongoing or did you end up figuring it out?

My birdnest is showing the same thing, all the way on the inside near the base is showing white skeleton. but theres not much light getting in there. natural die off or STN?

all the birdnest frags in the tank look fine.... actually calling them frags is being generous, most of them were accidental-tank-maintenance-oops frags.

how many of your frags are accidental??? :D

both my pink and green birds next have die of internal near the base. For a while I was concerned but lately it just seems to be a natural (at least in a tank natural) die off due to minimal circulation and/or light. The outsides of both look great. I'll get some pictures here in a sec.

a few other coral updates

the new unknown coral that was stn'ing seems to have settled in. Apparently there is no new stn since it was last pruned. Unfortunately, the trimmings did not make it.
newunkacro210.jpg

couple mille's
Marcs - this thing is taking off with a vengeance - the Main Chips below it is starting to get POed
marcmille210.jpg

Mako Mille - seems like just when the tips start to "blue up" they turn back to the same purple as the main body
makomill210.jpg

This Blue Mille is also taking off - there seems like new growth just since this past weekend
bluemille210.jpg

I think the main Chips has perked up since turning on the 400's for 2 hours a day

but the fuzzier chips is my small colony - it is pretty close to one of my Korilia #4s. Break out the clippers, this guy needs a hair cut :)

and a nice capture of "the blob" to wrap up tonights pictures
