wowwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! future tank of the month right here
hi scottallert,
Thanks for your kind words.

I have changed 250W MH to 400W MH.
The colour temperature of the bulb is 14000K. And now, I think it is a little bit too bright for some yumas and rics which in the bottom of tank. Maybe it is good for the softies if I change to use Reeflux 12KK.

Man... now I understand where all the beautiful corals of the world went to.. China!

I wish we had this great selection of colors here..

Keep updating us with your amazing corals!

i really like your zoo collection. I hope one day my sand bed will look like yours!
Hi Novacaine,

These zoo spent me 2 years on collecting.
And they grow very fast, i always make frags and share to my friends.

But after I changed the MH from 250W to 400W, all zoos do not as good as before, and the colour seems weak.
SPS grows faster than before after changed to 400W.

I'd like to know which reasons lead the zoos turn to weak.
Maybe my organic substance not as much as before, maybe i need to add some amino acid for my softies.
I will try and report here.:o

ok!
i will post more pics of my tank!

Thanks palyam :p

Your 400 watt lighting may be too much for your zoo's.

I would either move the 400 watt lighting farther away from your water surface, or switch back to your 250 lighting.

Thanks zma21,
In past, I ran 250W MH with 14kk, and now I changed to 400W 14kk. I also wanna hang up the light, but there have no space to do that.

I should say, after improve the light, all SPS become more colourful, and zoo does not as good as before.
I'm now want to try changing the bulb from 14kk to 20kk, or use reeflux 12kk. Do you think i should switch back to the 250W or ran 400W as 20kk colour temperature?

regards!

USA is my dream place to bulid a reef tank.
Most rare coral can be found there~:o

All my corals are bought in Shanghai, and there several good LFS there.
Some LFS has firsthand resources of corals and fishs from Indonesia.

binyang, once you come back Shanghai, you may be surprised by the saltwater levels here. :)
