pH Calibration

Can a profilux III pH probe be calibrated via the PC Software or only via the front panel screens? I'm hoping I can do everything via the PC interface...

yep you do it trought the "Remote Control"

sorrry - hit enter too quick - why not a button or option off the ph control tab?

well you have to be next to the controler do do the fluids any way

just hit the PH button, scroll down to calibration

I could NOT get it to work in the software as remote - once I disconnected and then used front panel it was fine - but for the life of me cannot get it to scroll to that in the software. I guess for the few times you have to calib I can live with it.

Sorry, yes the "Remote Control" has a few issue with the P3, I tought you had a PII

I may have found another 'issue' with calibration that may need a look - the pH calib fluids that came with my unit are 7.0 and 9.0, the default calib points are 4.0 and 7.0, so when using keypad to change calib fluid 1 to 7.0 it says points to close as calib fluid 2 is defaulted to 7.0 as well. So I bypassed changing fluid 1 and changed fluid 2 to 9.0, it doesn't seem to have a way to backup and now change point 1 nor does it save the new calib fluid 2 setting so next time I come back I have 4 and 9 which I could then set to 7 and 9....

You can change the values by using the up and down arrows

This is no issue, you are not applying the caibration process correctly please follow Chris's advise.

I think you may have missed what I am trying to say - yes I can get the value to change but because the defaults are 4 and 7 you can't change the first one to 7 before the second one goes to 9 but you can't get to the first one after you've moved to the second to set it to 9. does that make more sense?

Nope clear as mud sorry.

Go to claibration and move the cursor along to under the 4 and scroll up to 7, then press middle enter button, now do the same to 9. and then the controller will start the calibration process.

When I go to calib and and move the curser to under the 4 and scroll it up to 7 and thenpress middle enter button I IMMEDIATELY get points or values too close - it doesn't get to the 2nd setting to allow me to move it to 9.

some how you are jumping a step, the software will only do what you ask it to do, there is no other way.
