Hi everyone,

I'm a pertty experience reef keeper...but this is way out of my league, let me explain. I't started about a week ago were my ph suddenly started to drop for no apperent reason. every day it would loose about .1 or .2 and every time I would try to correct it by adding some kalkwaser to the point were I woke up today to a ph of 6.8 I was freaking out but my corals and fish were not, found that to be weird. check out my probe and it looks fine I recalibrated it, I tryed opening windows to let some fresh air in the house...my dhk is at 8 so I guess that ok but I just cant seem to raise my ph back. PLEASE HELP...Don't refer me to the reefkeeping article because I read it and although interesting it did not help.

It is undoubtedly testing error.

Try some new calibration fluids, and measure the tank pH in a cup away from potential electrical interference by the tank system.

Which meter?

you can get a chemical test kit like api or something to check to see if your probe is shot. Are your cal fluids old? And are you going from 7 too 10 and back and forth a few times adjusting cal each time?
