Ph is low :c

my ph is at 7.8 and im hoping this dosing of reef buffer will bring it up, i don't understand how it's this low though.

How often do you do water changes? Very infrequent water changes can eventually cause a lower pH.

Do you dose anything?

Is your house super tightly closed during winter time?

What's the pH of the water you're adding when you do a change?

How many fish do you have? Excess fish waste can cause pH drop as well.

For a fish only tank 7.8 isn't really anything to be concerned about.

Tank has only been setup for 5 days :/ ill get it up to around 8.3 to be safe.

Most newly established tanks go through some pH swings, nothing to worry about, it will stabilize most likely. Hope you dont have livestock in there yet.
