pH meter calibration solutions

Can you suggest some calibration solutions that could be made with things around the house to calibrate pH meters. Please forgive me if this is a repeat - I can't seem to find any info out there.

Thanks for the info. I have a milwaukee meter. It just one calibration dial. I presumed that i just needed a solution of a known pH. I seem to have lost the manual though.

Well, you can never accurately calibrate a pH meter with single point calibration, although I admit that some cheap meters only allow one point.

If you use a single point, make it as close to tank pH as possible, so in that case, the borax may be as good as pH 7 and better than pH 10 or 4.
