Ph Monitor Problem

I have an American Marine Ph monitor hooked to my calc reactor. I noticed it is not changing it seems to be stuck at 6.65. When I touch the socket where the ph probe enters the unit the ph number starts dropping. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Have you tried to recalibrate it.

No, I purchased it used and I just downloaded the pdf instructions.
