My pH probe really fluctuates during the day. I understand that some fluctuation is normal but it will drop to 7.4 and if I shake it in the water it will solely rise to 8.1. How do I keep it more stable?
It sounds like you might be collecting air bubbled on the probe; be sure it's in an area where that cannot happen. Slow moving water is best I find. and dark area if possible; it helps keep the probe clean.
