PH Probe

Does anyone know if the PH probe is no good after it has dried out for a few weeks? I dont have a problem buying a new one, just want to make sure before I try and calibrate it.

Also, do I have to buy the GHL brand PH probe?

The standard answer is - No it is U/S

Non standard answer is - soak it in pH 4.0 over night then try and claibrate and see

it is advised for longevity to use the GHL pH probe these outlast anything I have ever owned or tried, they also come with 6 months warranty and not 3 months as with many others.
