PH Problem need help

Hey guys

Im having a PH problem for a while... my PH varies from 7.5 - 8.0 but many times its really close to 7.6-7.7....

I have a fuge that I run on when DT lights are off and I was using that CO2 absorve media but seems not working and when I chance media, it goes up just a little and them goes down again.

My KH is around 8.4-8.5 and Im using a calcium reactor. Even if I open my windows still mostly of times low.

What else can I do?

You can try 30% water change, and use buffer, but add slowly to adjust. Good luck

Run a kalk reactor to supplement alk n Cal also raise pH cause the solution is 12 pH. Kalk is cheaper u will save money on co2 n Cal media

limewater topoff is really a great complement to a calcium reactor but the system needs to be well thought out. You want to consider anti siphon design (not valve) and it's preferable to have the ATO pump, pump fresh water into the limewater reactor. I use the BRS 50ml peristaltic. they are about $80 and you have to replace them every 18 months.

When I run a kalk reactor like the Avast k1 I have a peralastic pump pumping rodi to the reactor n the solution overflow to the sump. So my pump never touch kalk water therefore I never have to clean it.

Im using apex and I just calibrate my probes...

My problem with kalk is that I travel for work a lot internationally and I will be not able to add more kalk if it ends and Im traveling...

Also, is there a way to calculate how much I will have to slow on my calcium reactor since Kalk raises KH too right?

How do you control your KH since calk adds KH and CA?

Im using that method to raise the PH inside the reactor or lower it and my PH is right now on 6.86 and it's perfect tune to maintain 8.4-8.6 KH...

Should I raise it and start adding kalk using a reactor?

You can dose kalkwasser during the night with a peristaltic pump, 30 minutes every hour to match the evaporation. You can also try adding a tube to the the skimmer intake, and run it outside. That keeps ph stable at night. Recently my alk went up from 7.5 to around 9.5 and my 20 watt fuge light broke, so I added a 60 watt led instead. I dosed some potassium and iron (not sure if that helped). My tank's Ph went from consistent 7.8-8.0 to 8.0-8.34.

If all your corals look like they're thriving and not suffering, don't chase pH. There are so many variables such as age of probe, how it was calibrated, etc... so it's tough to chase pH, especially when everything looks good.

I think my growth is always delayed because of low PH.. I can clearly see it because all my corals takes too long to encrust.

My tank is too far my window which makes me impossible run this tubbing all over the house... Ive tried to open windows but it doesn't help at all.

I wanna increase my overall PH, not only in the night... in the night my fuge keep it same level as the morning... I need to make it better overall.

We just got our kalkwasser reactor online a few weeks ago, and it's been a game changer. Likewise, we were seeing ph in the 7.8-8.0 range, and now, were usually 8.0 to 8.3 range. 4 gallons a day using a spectrapure LM3. Top off is added ontop of whatever the 4 gallons doesnt replenish. Seeing a great difference in coral growth and color.

Thats what Im looking for... Im just a bit worried because I still dont understand how to balance the Calcium Reactor with the Kalk reactor...

How to make my ph goes to 8-8.3 and keep the same KH and CA I already have with my Calcium Reactor
