If one can keep their pH stable at 8.0, is that good enough (pH-wise) for an SPS tank? My tank stays at 8.0 around the clock. I don't really want to mess (with the mess) of Kalk in replacement water if 8.0 is sufficient. Thoughts?
My PH fluctuates with the seasons and the ambient CO2 in my house. In the winter and summer with the house closed up it ranges from 7.8-8.1 and spring and fall at around 8.0-8.3.
If I could lock it in at 8.0 year round, I would be a happy camper.
