is there a website that talks about the benefits to pellets on vodka and zeo

Are you running GFO? If not you might consider it. I tried to run my system on vodka alone (.5 ml a day on my 95 gal) and saw that my phosphates came down from about .23 in the beginning to .03. Then because of cyano issues, I switched to vinegar for about 3 weeks and saw a steady increase in phosphate to the point of .16. I began dosing vodka once more in combination with vinegar and my phosphates slowly reduced themselves back to around the .03 mark. Two weeks ago I added a half a cup of GFO ran in a reactor and my phosphate reading went to .00 in about 2 days. It has stayed at zero since then.

So in conclusion, to get mine to zero I dose .5 ml of vodka + 6 ml of vinegar and run a half of cup of GFO. I guess I've kind of taken a multi-pronged approach in order to solve the problem rather than simply looking for that one magic arrow. I'm sure others will help you and this is just my experience with a similar issue but I hope it helps.

I agree that adding another form of carbon may help in bringing down the po4 a bit more. Certain bacteria rely on certain carbon forms so you system can become carbon limited with only one form of carbon, this is a known issue with bio pellets. Also dosing a bacteria source may help as well by increase the bio diversity of the bacteria in the system. If all else fail good old GFO is the way to go to remove the last bit of po4.

just side question, by dosing vinegar did that eliminate cyano?

No it didn't and I am still fighting it to some extent. The only change I noticed while dosing vinegar alone was my phosphates began to creep back up. That is why I started redosing vodka.

thats what i was thinking, but im not sure if should cut my vodka dose down and add only like 200ml of bio pellet just to make sure i dont over do it. ad yes i run gfo
