phos-zorb

Anyone know if phos-zorb is aluminum or iron based? The bottle doesn't have any info on it as to ingredients, and no info on thier web site. It's made by aquarium pharmacueticals.

I honestly couldn't say for certain but seeing how all the AP products I've used have been kinda.....oh how to say it....less than perfect. I'd assume it's the "leech back into your tank" kind.
I forget if aluminum or iron does that.

Aluminum based products are all white in color - iron would be brownish/orange.

magnavore PhosLoc works well, but i switched to RowaPhos and it works much better. It is more expensive though

There is nothing available in my area stores except the phos-zorb, so i ordered some phos-pure from dr. foster's. It is thier own brand of phos-ban. It's made with Granulated Ferric Oxide, just a lot cheaper because it's thier brand on the label.
