Phosban Reacter

I would like to hook up a phosban reactor with a Maxjet powerhead. I do not have a sump so I'm assuming the powerhead pumps water out of the tank 3 feet down to the floor where the phosban reactor will be, and then the water will exit back up to the tank?

Is the powerhead strong enough to do this? If not, how would I do this?

I only have 5 inches behind the tank. Not much room with a Protein Skimmer and emperor 280 filter.

Thats why I would like to put it below.

Will a powerhead be able to work?

Yes I think you could use an MJ 900 or even a 1200 with out any problems. 2 Little Fishes comes with a valve so you can dial the MJ back if you need to.

the reactor has about a 3" diameter only...so you could easily fit it probably.
The maxi only has problems with more than 4' of head, so i think a 400 is what's reccomended, so just go with a 900 and use the valve on the reactor to dial it back if needed-IMO

You can easily hang it on with that much space
