What kind of phosban reactor are you guys with 300+ tanks using? ALot of people are recommending the two little fishes brand so i would need 2 of them.... do you guys with big big 500+ tanks line of 4 of these things or are there better options for tanks with 300 gallons of water?

go with one large deltec reactor... very nice and you don't have to deal with 4 to 6 small phosban reactors. Plus the deltec is very high quality and will last you forever.

I use and prefer the either a smaller or larger GEO media reactor. At that size, the first one is about the right size for phosphate material. The second works well for carbon.

http://www.deltecusa.us/fluidizedreactors/fr616.php is where you can find the reactors from deltec. They are very high quality, durable, and easy to use and fine tune.

There are also 4 different sizes available from 1 liter (for a 200g tank) to 14 liters (for a 5000g tank) medium capacity, so you can probably find whatever you need there.

I have two of the FR1016 and a FR509 and all of them out perform the phosban reactors I've had before. I've been through Kent and 2 Little Fishies reactors as well as a few home made ones and the Deltec really is very high quality and will last you a long time.

Silly question,
What is the recommended amount of Phos media per gallon of system volume?

H2OENG - Depends on the media you are using.... I just quoted what was shown on the Deltec website.

bjmycroft - I learned that trying to save money up front just isn't worth it.... unfortunately I learned the hard way a few times and with 3 different tank setups.
