phosban reactor set up

I hope this is not too dumb a question.
I am going to add a phosban reactor. I do not have a true sump. I have a 75 gallon tank, and it started with a wet/dry filter. I have long ago removed the bio balls though.
So it is "sort of" a sump, though not very large.

I want to add a phos ban reactor to the set up. Should I run from the outlet of the reactor straight into the tank. Right now I have a return that just comes from the sump to the tank. Should I take that output and run it through the reactor then to the tank. Or can I just run the outlet of the reactor back into the sump?
I hope I made it clear enough to understand what I want to do. Any recommendations?

You can hang it on the return section of the sump and stick the lines in that section of the sump of that is all the space you have....make sure you rinse the media really well, if not you are going to cloud up your water a bit when you fire it up....
