it will take a little while. Phosban type medias get exhausted fairly quickly when theres a lot of PO4 in the water. It will need to be changed frequently at first and then it will last longer as the phosphates decline.
Your phosban reactor will immediately start removing phosphates.
Just keep measuring the output of the reactor and when it stop reading zero, then it is time to change the media.
