Phosband reactor sponge disolved.

Tonight I was checking my phosband reactor and noticed the top sponge has disolved. Any ideas why this happened?

Buy a cheap blue backed filter pad and take old sponge or one that's in tacte trace and cut and volla new sponge filter worked for me in a pinch
