Has any body used one of these yet? Does it show the phospate level in the tank or do you have to multipy the reading by another number?

I have one and love it. It's very easy to use. No math involved, it use absorbence of light and calculates it for you.

only reason i ask is cause mine is coming back 1.14. Doesn't this seem high for a tank less than 2 months old with 5 chromis and one yellow tang?

You very well could be still cycling. There can be a lot of die off from live rock. Increasing water changes will help and maybe add a media reactor and some GFO.

Just ordered from drfostersmith.com and used my old catalog number to search for the Hanna phosphate meter did a search for APD-27266 and it comes up 175.49 If you search under Hanna Photometer it comes up with a price of 195.00:rolleyes:

Anyways I hope this helps me get a handle on my aquarium phosphate.
