Phosphate and Carbon reactor

I am thinking about buying 2 of the 2 fishes Phosban reactors. I want to run carbon in one and Phosban in the other. I am wanting to run 1 PH to them. I know some people daisey chain them but wouldn't it be easier to put them in parallel with a ball valve in front to each to better control the flow thru both?

Phosban costs a lot more than carbon, so I put the carbon in first and the phosban in my second reactor (run in series). The carbon clogs up with junk after a couple weeks, so I replace that, but the phosban is usually still good. If you run them both in parallel, you'll have to replace the phosban before it's actually used up.

I run them in parallel and I like it much better for flow control.

I don't see why you would have to replace the phosban before it is used up this way.

I run mine in parallel. I feed them from my return pump. I change the Carbon bi-weekly and the Phosban monthly. (depending on its condition)

theres no problem running them in parrallel or linked, either way its a good idea to get 2
