Photo Contest! - What Do You Think?

I have heard of a potential interest in a photo contest from members of this forum. I think it's great that members have re-visited their cameras and am willing to help any member interested in improving their images.

I think the concept of a photo contest would be fun. I won't enter, as a matter of fact I am willing to HELP judge the results.
What do you think ... anyone interested?

I think I could even manage to find someone that might be interested in donating a prize!

Are you talking about the Photography forum? I thought I'd just post it in here as really only the FMAS members will be participating. Is there another forum where I might attract the attention of members of our group?

I have a Sony Cypershot DSC-P100 5.1 Megapixel. I am having trouble focusing objects that are less than 12 inches or so...in macro mode. Is that camera not good enough?

Spec's say Min Focus Distance: 19.7 in this may be the problem......?

Awwww...man! That's sux. I thought I never would like to do any macro shot that close to the object knew I shoulda spent the extra hundred for a better one....that was before I started this new hobby.

That's the prob ... now that may not be as bad if it seems if you can do that while zoomed out to your max. It won't be a true macro (1:1) but it may not be horrible either.
