photo Senser

Hi Roger,
I don't know if it's common for the photo sensor to fail, but this is the second one you send me about a year ago. It's not responding to light when I plug it in everthing stop cycle even when I placed it directly underneath a MH. Do you think you can sent another one to me and I will paypal you for the cost.

Another question, I currently I have a wave box which I want it operate indepently to 2x 6010 but at the same I want it to cycle every 30-45 minute instead of continueously, what I do to make that happen without plug it in to the controller as a slave.

I don't think I have had anyone else have the photocells fail so I am puzzled. The older plug in type for the 7094 is very simple, just your basic photocell, I believe it is just a plate of cadmium sulphide that changes conductivity in response to light. I think the wire must be getting pinched somewhere as that is the only weak point I can think of. The wires inside are very fine and could break from repeated flexing.

I don't completely understand the second part. You want to run the wavebox constantly and on a seperate controller run the 6010 's every 30-45 minutes?

Roger,

The photo sensor hasn't been touched for ages, and I have been making sure there is no obstruction of any sort from where I glue the sensor to the receptor of 7094, and no the wire are not flex as I have not touched that thing since the day I plugged in.

Regarding the wavebox, I want the wavebox to alternate on and off cycle every 30 mins, without plug it into the controller.

Thanks,

Spencer

I am not sure what could cause this, I do have them in stock though. Is the light really intense or close? Maybe the chemical breaks down over time in intense light?

You could use a timer to do that, just be sure to use the screen cover over the pump outlet so animals don't enter when it is off.

Roger, the sensor is placed 12" from the side luminarc reflector, but it is in the path of beam. Not sure about the chemical reaction but I heard UV makes platic become more brittle overtime. I really hope it's just the sensor not the board itself, any way to test that.
Please give me the instruction for paypal and the cost for the sensor and shipping to 95131, thank you Roger.
Spencer
