photobucket-copy past url?

trying again to figure out how to get my pics from photobucket to my gallery. I did manage to get them posted on a thread, like this one. but when I go to photobucket, and copy a pic, then take off the img code on the front and back of the pic, then try to paste it on may gallery page, where it says browze, there is a place where it copied it to, but, it does not work. What am I doing wrong?

Why not just upload it directly from your computer to here on RC? You really dont need photobucket first and then copy it here....

my pics are too big, I have to resize them. I do not know how to make them smaller on my computer.

What system are you using Mac or PC and if PC what version of windows??
I may be able to direct you to a free picture resizing program..

Or try this free program and then post to RC

this may sound really stupid, but whre do I see which windows I have,? It is windows, I don't know what version. My son would laugh at me if he knew I asked this.

If its a newer version just click on the start button on the bottom left and when the menu appears its written along the left side edge of it...

I think the pics for the gallery must be saved to your computer first.
Then in browse insert them .

I can try the free resize program that you showed me. Its just that I finally figured out how to use the photobucket, resizing, and fixing, cropping, ect. I guess i'll have to start over agin, I hope this one is learnable friendly!!!

If its XP then follow this link to windows support page. Download the imageresizer program on the right and then run it. Then all you have to do after install is right click on a picture you saved and then hit the resize option. Its how I do all of mine that way. Great program right from Microsoft,

Thanks, Mike, Frank, I'll go to the site and see how it goes!! It gets flustrating trying to work my way around the computer, I know enough to get me into trouble!!

Run the program above and then its easy as pie. You just go to the saved picture or pictures on your system and select them. Right click your mouse and choose " Resize Pictures", choose the small option and you are done. It will keep your orig picture and add another duplicate that will read small on the end. Its now your shrunk in size picture.

Super Easy and then you can upload to RC, Photobucket or the like and not have to re size.

what's wrong with just hosting on photobucket? works fine for me, and doesnt have the limitations that RC has (though that may be different based on the different accounts).

I think the problem is you are trying to paste the photos into your RC gallery. You don't need to do that. Just take the image code from Photobucket and paste it directly into your post.

I think she wanted to load some pics to her gallery here also and it was causing problems. She already has the Photobucket thing down.

save the RE SIZED photo bucket pic to your computer. Then upload the saved copy. When You save it make sure you name it differently than the one you have saved.
