Photographing coral's
I am trying to take the best pictures of my coral's so I can upload them to my profile and on posts, but can't firgure out what is the best lighting for taking my pictures.

Here is my setup

4 96watt atinic bulbs
3 250 MH lights (think 10,000K)
1 48" moonlight

Any help is greatly appreciated

Canon Rebel XTI.

I have the following len's to use.

50mm Macro with life size convertor 1:1
18-55mm Canon
18-200mm Sigma with VR
170-500mm Sigma (not using this one for tank. LOL might be a little hard to shoot with unless I want to be in the other room. LOL)

Shooting in manual mode on tripod.

thats a good camera.. shouldnt have any problems taking pics are you asking for tip on how to use settings to take pics? I have an option to configure the white balance. My camera used to take pics that were slightly blue with my MH.

You could shoot in RAW and then use a free (trial) program like BreezeBrowser Pro (google it) to adjust white balance in the computer.

Of course, this only accounts for so much, but I find that it helps... It's tough to find "natural" light sometimes.

Thanks for the input, yes, I was looking for tip's on shooting for the best color.

RAW. My best friend. I have photoshop CS3 so I'll have to play with that.

Thanks everyone for your input.
