Photography Forum Sites?

dpreview.com ... but it's so diluted with bad advices imo

photo.net and flickr.com have good forums for general photography

A camera-specific forum I go to is nikonians.org

I like fredmiranda.com

x2 - I'm a regular in their Landscape forum.

I generally steer clear of the "gear" forums (on any photo site) however as they tend to be full of strongly opinionated folks who argue for the sake of arguing. You never actually see them post a picture unless it's to do a 100% crop of some random text to decided if the lens is "sharp" or not. I'd rather just go take pictures.

never been in the forums, but the articles are great...

www.luminous-landscape.com

The complaint I hear from people about this site is that he often shoots and/or writes about 20,000$ pieces of equipment... but photography is about light, and i find his stuff applies very well.. i've got about 10 of his dvd's as well. Good stuff
