I have an 80 regular, 48x18x24, and am lighting it with a Sunlight Supply Maristar 2x250 MH w/Hamilton 14k and 2x54 T5 w/one daylight and one actinic. The lights are 10 inches off the water surface. The system is all SPS, bare bottom and water quality tests good.
I have heard one can run a shorter photoperiod when running BB. Is there any truth to this? If so, I'd appreciate suggestions on photoperiods for the MH and T5.
