photos, and Windows 8

Words cannot express how I hate Windows 8, particularly when it comes to viewing/organizing photos.

Is there another program I can use to just view and organize my photos?

This operating system is an abomination. I hope Microsoft goes bankrupt and Bill Gates dies a penniless beggar. :headwallblue:

Just for viewing and organising I like Picasa (Google). It's free so trying is easy.

Picasa is definitely a good free alternative. It can actually do some of the same stuff as LR, but it more sluggish and less user friendly. I used it for a while before I got LR and I actually really liked it.
