Photos through a microscope

I was able to find a really cool used surgical microscope. It is mounted on a stand and it has an extension arm so that you have both vertical and horizontal movement. I am able to get it right up to my tank and check out the micro world inside. Would love to find away to photograph through it. Anybody out there that can give me a clue?

No clue, but if you contact some of the larger photography stores, such as Adorama or B&H photo, they might know. Or write to Outdoor Photographer magazine, they might have some ideas. Sounds cool, good luck!

i remember a few months back reading smething similar to what you are saying about taking photos through a micro scope...ill see if i cam find it.....

Look for information on Micro Photography. Canon made two adapters for their now older FD line that would slip over standard size eye pieces on microscopes and let you take pictures. I am certain if Canon made these others have too.

Edmunds optics have some microscope adapters for slrs (T-mounts). I'm sure you could get soem connectors to hold your camera securely for micro-photography....Jim Z.
