Phylogeny of Centropyge

Hi everyone, my colleagues and I just published a paper where we propose relationships among species of the genus Centropyge. The advanced copy is available here:

Let me know if you have any questions!

The full paper is available in the link on the first post... This is not the final version though, I will upload a PDF here when the final version comes out. The only difference will be format.

Very inetersting! thx for posting.

Am i reading correctly? Are boylei, multifasciata, venusta, colini & narcosis, closer to Apolemichthys and Geniacanthus, than other centropyges?

Hmm not sure if I did it right but I could find the full version without logging in through my college, did that and I am golden though.
Interesting findings on Apolemichthys arcuatus as well, interested to see where that ends up they have never seemed right to me where they are currently placed.
Also nice to see some of the relationships people have guessed at are correct so far.

Thanks for showing us this - I've often wondered how this would look. Some q's, thoughts -
Rather like A. Arcuatus Chaetodonplus mesoluceus is a bit weird, and not in they 'right place'
Paracentropyge is so far removed from Centropyge?
C. Potterii and interrupta always strike me as incredibly similar
