Phytoplankton Microscopy

here are some pics and vids on some phytoplankton. i took these today after work using our awesome Ziess apotome microscope. some pics are at 400X others are oil immersion 690X the vids were taken from my phone while watching live via computer, sorry but our software doesnt have recording capabilities for the live view. also i wanted to shoot this in color but our color camera wasnt working today due to software issues so ill get on that another time.

Nice! You might want to open the aperture on your light source quite a bit to reduce the halos around the cells. Many people tend to close it too much because it looks "crisper" at a first glance, but it actually reduces the resolution of the resulting image.
