hi,
i wa told by my local fish store that after having some phyto on hand i could just add more salt water to the same container and i will keep growing more. i do plan on adding proper light and air, even include some miraclegrow formula. can this be done use and just replenish with saltwater and if so how long before i have regained a fair amount and coloration? thanks for any input

phyto plankton are single celled plants that get their food from the sun so all you need are some flourescent lights.

A product called F2 is typically what is fed to phyto. You can purchase it here, its called Micro Algae grow.Florida Aqua Farms These guys also sell starter cultures. If you dont add food your cultures will crash.

Where do you think he got those bottle stands on the left with the two liter bottles in them? It looks like the air hose connects to the bottom and bubbles up to the top.
