(pic) new shroom rock

Ok... after lurking for while, I'm finally making my first post. Hold your applause please.

I just started with this tank this past October. 30gallon AGA. So far so good... I'm taking my time and learning a lot in the process. Just got my first shrooms the other day. Picked up 2 rocks at the LFS... one that's not very spectacular, and this one with 8 shrooms on it:

These things are prob 2.5" - 3" ... very nice looking. I'm going to try fragging these in a few weeks.

About the angry dude on the right ... after acclimating the shrooms, I picked up the rock to transfer into the tank and I promptly dropped it. It only fell about 2-3 feet, but I have a feeling that the rock sortof landed on that one. Oh well.. I think it'll be fine in a few days.

Very nice find, good pic too! I have some green striped ones like that, but I've always wanted the blue stripe but can't find them.
Also, just for heads up.... I have some red pimpley ones too, and they don't like high light, actually, I don't think they like light at all cuse the parent keeps moving for shade, leaving new shrooms that once big enough, head for shade as well.

Yeah, the brown pimply one seems happy on my rock ... the lighting isn't too intense anyway, just 1 96w combo 10k/actinic PC light. I should post a pic of my other shroom rock... they're a very deep fluorescent green, but I have 'em under shade right now. Keeping a close eye for any signs of needing more light, then I'll move 'em.
