Awesome! Does that irritate the zoanthids at all? They all look open in the pic, but do they close up when the clowns swim in them?

That's not just a pic, that's a great pic. Those crazy clowns always hosting in whatever they want!! They are very cute and I love that black on the male's head bar.

thanks for the complements, i'm actually just getting used to taking pics and editing them, it takes me several bad shots to get a good shot, this is one of my favs.

it doesn't seem to bother the zoas at all, it's a rather large colony and they seem to handle the "affection" well. :)

the clowns actually used to host in a GSP colony in the back of the tank so i'm quite happy to see they've moved up front...

Great pic! Can't wait to see what surrogate my new percs adopt once they are out of QT...

that is really funny...my ocellaris clown just started doing the same thing...in what looks to be a similar type of zoanthid.

Cateyes, that pic is great.

I took another picture after the lights went out.

This just started happening yesterday. Funny thing is I was going to pull these zoos out because I'm not crazy about the color....now that the clown has made them into a home they are here to stay. They only show pink color under the actinics....usually they are brownish.

BTW, there is a nice long tentacle anemone in the tank....this guy wants nothing to do with it.

i think because of the size of the polyps and the colony itself the clowns just don't aggravate it. they all seem quite happy with the arrangement.

the male was the first to go into it and the female stayed in the GSP but he must have done some sweet talking. :)

i've had them for two years now maybe courtship is around the corner.

here's another pic of the female snuggling down...
