Here's the terror of my tank :D :D, who hitchhiked along on some FL aquacultured LR. He's currently enjoying having free reign of my newly setup 250g, which I have not stocked yet. He is an interesting blue-grey color.

I've given him a little shrimp a few times, which he takes eagerly (part of me says there's something terribly wrong about that). I'm not seeing any signficant snail carnage, so as long as he's not creating any problems, I'm content to leave him in there. The tank walls are 1" thick acrylic, so I'm not terribly worried about him breaking anything.

SWEET MANTIS! LOVE THE COLORS! IT TAKES A REAL MAN TO DEDICATE SUCH A LARGE 250 GAL TANK TO SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MANTIS!! I AM SURE YOU WILL BE PLEASED WITH YOUR DECISION!

my experience has been that if you feed him regulary, he will, for the most part, not bother your hermits and snails. If he was a hitchiker, he is most likely a N. Wennare and won't get very large.
