My bulbs are new. The tube anemone is bright orange, not bleached at all, I guess it is hard to tell in the pic. The long tenacle anemone has been staying under the rock work in a totally different area of the tank for a long time which is why it is probably bleached. The day I took this pic was the first day it has come out from under the rocks in a long time, it had moved to this spot after I had been moving other rocks around in the tank. I have tried to move it from where it was for a while but could'nt figure out how to get it unattached so that i could move him back out into the open.
I had been messing with the rock work and the long tenacle anemone moved to that location after that but it still goes back under the rock so I am hoping that it will start coming out in the open more so that it can get it's color back. I moved the tube anemone earlier today hoping it might help make the long tenacle anemone stay out more like in the pic since I can't figure out how to move it.

The tube anemone is bright colored just don't look like it from that pic. Like I said the other anemone is lived under the rock work for probably six monthes or more so that is why it isn't colorful. I feed them krill and they also eat some of the mysid and brine shrimp i feed the other fish.

can bleaching be caused by what they eat too? Am I need feeding them the right things
The tube anemone use to be out in the open and it moved itself under that cliff, so why are they choosing to be under the rocks if it is not good for them. I moved the tube back out in the open earlier today.

The larger anemone should be eating silversides. The other stuff is okay but not very substantial.
The tube anemone needs to be fed enriched smaller foods, Brine shrimp offers almost no nutrional value. They do not get a lot sustinance through photosynthesis like the other anemone or corals.
They need a place to anchor in , example, a deep sand bed, if they don't have that they will make a tube and reach up under the rocks and try to take hold.

Does anyone know how o move the long tenacle?

Just a few suggestions, I know you said the light is new, but maybe the long tenicle doesn't like that particular light. Is that the same one you got from me last year, if so, he should be a beautiful blue/green color, almost a teal. He likes light, just not directly over it. He does eat silversides. He was not real aggressive, but did not like being messed with. and definately doesn't like an other anemone by it. Either way anemones have a habit of going where they want. You can try over and over to put him where you think he should be, but if he doesn't like it, he will move somewhere he feels better. If he keeps going under the rocks, I would take it as he is stressed, and not feeling very well.
If you keep moving your rocks around, that could be stressing them also.
For now I would try to get the tube anemone away from the long tenicle. Stop moving the rocks around, maybe the long tenicle can calm down. And start offering him a silverside. It may not take it whole so chop it up into a few chuncks.
The main thing your need to understand is the more you mess with your tank, the more upset the residents will be.
If you keep moving your rocks around, that could be stressing them also.

I would not try and move the LTA. Moving would just stress it more than help it. If it doesn't like being by the tube anemone it will move on its own.
Make sure you feed the tube anemone often as already mentioned. Mysis, silversides, and chopped shrimp are all good options. Feed it enough and it will grow and split for you. You may not want it to get too big however, they have a habit of eating fish as well

Yes it is the same one you gave me. He had been under the rock work for a long time just because that was where it went. I hadn't been messing with the tank until recently due to me selling my powder blue tang. It shouldn't have been stressed when it decided to move under the rocks in the first place. I was hoping since it moved it would move more out in the open but it hasn't. it still is staying under the rock most the time. So if it is choosing to be under the rock how can I make it better. I have 14K 250w lights so not sure why it wouldn't like them.

Oh, it was mainly abrown color ever since i have had it but definantly more colorful than it is now.

Even in my tank he didn't like the strong light. He stayed in the sand under the shawdow the the overflow. There he got some light but not strong. I wouldn't mess with him eitherway right now. Just get some silversides for him. hold it down by where he is at. He should come out to get the food. Maybe over time he will feel better about comeing and staying out. Like stated earlier, they get most of their nutrition from food. Light is just supplemental. So I am thinking once he is feeling better, he is more likely to come out in the open. But the best advice I could give you is to get on the Anemone forum, and do some research. The experts there could probably give you advice that will help.

Thanks, He is back out from under the rock right now, this might be a better spot for him than where he was originally because he can go under or come out as he pleases. I will get the silverside.
