Picked up a new fish today

Got tubes?
Hi all!

Just wanted to share my new fish with ya. I had sold some corals and this guy was (divinely?) the same amount. :D

I present to you Manny, the Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse:

Here he is in the bag (I went ahead and snapped some pics in case he decided to hide for a long time, of which he didn't):

And a couple of hours after introduction into the tank:

Pretty sweet! He's got gorgeous coloration. He hasn't been shy at all. He hid for probably the first hour or two and then came right out and introduced himself. The clowns made sure to let him know the frogspawn was theirs, but other than that all has been well. He's been hanging out at the top lately. I don't *think* these guys are top swimmers, but maybe they are. He also may come down some as he gets more comfortable with it.

I do have to admit this is probably the last fish my system will handle, which is kind of bittersweet, but I'm pretty happy with my fish selection.

Anyway, just thought I'd share!

Yeah, my big tank will have a couple of wrasses in it. :)

He's not too big, and won't get much bigger and thats a large part of the reason I got him. :)

I think he maxes out about 4". He's about 2.5" to 3" right now.

They've got another one, Matt, if you want him! :D

Thanks all!

How long did you have yours Chris? Still got him?

Oh well, Norman. It was fun thinking for a little while that you got such a great deal... lol.

Let me know when you want those nuc greens, CJ, and maybe I'll get a solar wrasse... LOL... j/k... I'm out of room!

They're not too bad, Thomas. I think min. tank is around 20g. They don't get much larger than the one I have now. :)

He's doing great today! Much better than when I tried my Scott's Fairy Wrasse. :( He was too big for my tank, anyway.

This guy kind of reminds me of a neon easter egg...

Anyway, thanks again!

I think he looks like he accidentally fell into a tie-dyed project and made it out the other end with a fullbody tattoo.

Great fish B!

Very pretty.

I have a lightning wrasse and a yellow wrasse. I love that they are all over the water column, high and low, in and out. Very active.

Thats awesome, dawg.

I agree, Howard. This guy is all over the tank... for some reason I didn't really expect him to be, but I'm really happy with him.

I've had him for a while. Probably going on year. I actually bought him to take some pressure off a Solar I bought at the same time because I have 2 other larger wrasses. After many trips to the overflow the Solar is finally learning to hold his own:)

 So he's a scapefish? :D

I agree, Gary. Wrasses are quite nice. I'll be getting more when I get a larger tank.
