Picked up a used Apex

Apex noob here but learning my way out of the hole I dug....

okay guys, I picked up a used tank complete with the Apex system that was running it. Relocated the whole system intact (everything stayed connected in the stand). I have the Apex Fusion account login that was created for the system and can control/modify etc (and yes I changed the password).

Now the trouble:
Previous owner changed the username/passwd for the system itself (as he should have) HOWEVER has no idea what it is (not the default nor any combination of what he thought it was). nmap revealed the TCP port it was moved to and can bring up the authentication box but can't login without creds.

I guess what I really want to do is since I have everything running the way I want it to is there to download the config's from Fusion, reset the Apex to factory (with known credentials) and push the config's back in?

The system is a little complex; base, 2xEB8's, breakout, 3xVDM's and PM1. Pretty much every switch port is in use/programmed, so starting over from scratch would really suck!

Not knowing how the system was designed or if there are any preventative measures in place, I have no idea what trying to brute force the cred's would do short of creating a Denial of Service or worse, so killing the box isn't on my short list of things to day today.

Any ideas?

No need to get so drastic ;) Use the display menu to look up the username and password. Press the center button, scroll to System, press center button, scroll to Net Setup, press center button, then scroll down to Admin login. Press center button to see it. Press exit, scroll down once to Admin Password, press center button to view the password.

Don't try to change them there - you can but it's cumbersome, to put it mildly. Instead, look up the creds as described, use them to access the classic dashboard, go to the Setup Net Setup web page, then change the login and password as desired. Reboot when done in order for the new creds to be put into effect.

Should have mentioned it outright that I do not have a display for it :(

Neptune provided procedures to wipe the system to start over... while waiting I was able to crack the password with a magical script... and subsequently managed to hose the networking settings.. i have a loaner display coming in the next couple days to get it sorted...
