Picking out Chromis

Well I have two blue green chromis and I really like them. They are always swimming around which I like and it adds a lot if motion to the tank. I had four but one jumped and I think I had a Sally light foot crab ate another so I'm wanting some more. Can you mix different types of chromis? Do you guys have a one you would recommend?

Not all species of "chromis" are peaceful, so do research if buying other than the blue greens. There is a Black Axil chromis that IMO is more brilliantly colored than the blue green. Whatever you decide, I highly suggest you QT any chromis you buy as they seem to be plagued by unusually high cases of Uronema marinum in recent years.

I'm looking at live aquaria and I like the blue reef chromis and the sunshine chromis. they are both labelled peaceful. On the black axils and blue greens I don't see I sugginicant difference in them and the blue greens are a third of the price so if I do get not rig those it would be the blue greens

I have a blue/green and it usually just hides in the rocks. Guess I got a dud. He's been that way for almost 6 months now

How big is your tank? I've never had just one and that could be it, maybe. They tend to school or stay together for me.

Any other advise on the chromis??? What I've read is that they will be ok but you can never be to careful, I've learned that once or twice in this hobby, haha.
