picky anemone?

Hello everyone!
I'm lookin for some help.
I have a long tentacle anemone and i've tried feeding him frozen marine cuisine carnivorous food, but it would break apart and float away leaving him with only a little bit. So i tried switching to frozen silver backs because i hear that's what they should eat, but when i put half of one in his tentacles his clown fish will pick at it and eventually it would float away. I keep having to put it back in his tentacles. I try and feed him once to twice a week. When i read around I heard that if they are hungry or like the food, they will "hold onto it" and mine doesn't seem to really do that. His mouth will puff up like he's hungry, but he doesn't hold onto the food!! It's really frustrating having to go back into the tank every 3 minutes to replace the food back into his tentacles!

Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?

Try turning off the flow for awhile while you feed. Also, try different foods. You can feed scallops or shrimp as well. If you turn off the flow you can use your marine cuisine more effectively. And last but not least, make sure all food types are thawed to tank temp before feeding.
