Pico reef question

I have a Fluval spec 3 and was wondering if adding a small water circulator would be overkill for the tank. The flow from the stock pump seems a little wimpy.

I like my water to move - a tiny MaxiJet 400 might do you well but may also be a bit big for your liking if you put it on the glass. If I did it I would hide the MJ400 under a pile of rocks, point it at the rear wall or back corner of your tank, and disguise the cord. Minimum of sand if any - more for space than anything :) I have one in a 5gal for cycling rock and it's smaller than I thought it would be. I can easily fit it and 3 fingers in a normal coffee cup with room to spare.

Alternatively, I've seen decent air-driven nano filters that could be modified to fit your system, though then you need an air pump and risk major salt creep.

Thanks for the responses! Xxero, the link you provided, would that replace the pump I have now or add it in addition to?
