Pics and Questions of 3 1/2 month old tank

Vermetid snails will send out web-like threads made of mucous to catch its food. Spirorbid snails look like little tiny feather dusters. Some people will epoxy the vermetids and others with superglue them. The superglue may give you a cleaner look.

pink coraline.....is that good?

Yes just keep it off the front so you can see :-) Do you have a scrapper? A metal one is great if it is a glass aquarium

A razor blade is the best way to get coraline algae off the glass.

In terms of the bristle worms: they are mainly detritus eaters (and will also grab some meaty foods). Your tank can only hold as much as it can support. Lower nutrients mean less bristle worms. The danger of them? Some aquarists have claimed that in large numbers they can agitate certain corals, causing them to stress and possibly die. I have had them in numerous tanks (one point there were hundreds in a 55) and they have never bothered a coral, but yes, they do cause a mild skin reaction when you touch them. Where you touch them the skin feels very sensitive, almost bruised, and lasts a day or two. Some people are more resistant to them than others. I have been stung by them countless times. A nice quick vinegar or rubbing alcohol pour over where it got you will help alleviate it (same idea as a jellyfish or lionfish sting).

That being said, looks great so far! The algae should disappear as long as you don't overfeed/overstock too soon or keep the lights on too long.
