Fishypets, I'm using a Rebel XT and shooting with a Sigma 105mm Macro Lens, it's pretty sweet!

Thanks for the comments everyone! It's amazing what a good camera can do. I remember how impressed I was when we got out first digital camera (Kodak ls443), and now i'm just blown away with the Rebel XT. :eek1: Some more pics to come.

Wow Eric,

Great Pics !!!!

That's amazing for a first time user . It took me weeks to get there . In fact I still don't think I'm there yet .:D

Thanks Joe, I'm quite amazed myself. I've only really been shooting in the pre-set modes casue I don't know what i'm doing in 'creative modes'. Just shows what a quality camera can do. Definately makes photography much more enjoyable now. I think i've taken more pics in the last 4 days than I have with the old point and shoot over the last 3 years.

Hey Ereefic I hope you dont mind, but I used PS to touch your photo. I am no expert at all, but here is what you can do.

What I did was use the healing brush tool in PS CS to get rid of any spots. I also used auto color adjustment (works sometimes), and I then used the unsharp mask option in the filter's selection.

Only suggestion I would make to RevHTree is save the retouched photos as JPGs and not Gifs. File size will be smaller and they'll look better.

Otherwise nice job of retouching them!

Very nice RevHtree. Post processing is something I need to learn. I only have the software that came with the camera, and most of it I don't understand how it works. I would really like to learn how to use 'layers' as i've seen some very dramatic improvements from it.
