The pics can't even do it justice, my camera stinks. This rock is ALIVE, feather dusters EVERYWHERE, saw an amazing cuke today (I think) black with pink spikes everywhere. More pics on the way...

Is this a whelk snail? Good guy or bad guy? He was crawling up the glass and I accidently knocked him off while I was moving some rock and he hasn't moved from this spot but he's sticking hard to the glass, so I figure he's alive. This guy came in the live sand!

Inside these barnacle type things there are a bunch of somethings that are alive and stick out a tentacle? or tounge? Anyone know what they are?

Looks like a good start :) Unfortunately, it's hard to tell what's what from the photos, however, the barnacle like things are probably.... barnacles!!
My rocks were loaded with them till one of the mantis I had systematically cracked them open for snacks. They could also be mini serpent stars (3-5 little striped legs that dangle out), segmented worms that poke out periodically, spaghetti worms, variants of feather dusters, even a small rock burrowing cucumber. Have fun discovering and don't give up taking (and sharing, hint hint ) pictures. Just try to brace yourself against something while taking them.

my rock is covered in tube worms, both feather dusters and another type (I'll hve to look the name up). One of the feather dusters is a beautiful irridescent blue. It's grown since last week.

It's also covered in barnacles. I can't wait for Part 2
