pics of my 2nd tank...work in progress

You can post the pictures on your thread by copying the IMG address in photobucket and pasting here. Makes it easier to follow.

The second pic you have looks like a skeleton of a candy cane coral, I'm pretty sure it's dead. Either way, good luck with the new tank!

Cool, Thanks for the advice.

By the way it's a skeleton of a hammer coral. A friend of mine was going to throw it out but I thought it looked pretty cool.

I really want a pair of rod's oynx. Does he regular have them?

I think so, he had a bunch when I was there. He actually had a few batches even a batch that hatched that day. Only thing is, I took the best 2 he had:D . Both clowns I purchased have a lot of black on them, have the first 2 stripes perfectly grown and are just short of an inch in length. The smaller of the 2 is about 3/4" and already is starting to show it's 3rd stripe. The other is about 7/8" (sorry, I'm a tradesman so we like to be exact) but isn't showing the 3rd stripe but does have a black spot on it's right fin.

He really does have some nice onyx clowns (different sizes) and his homemade food is the best. Plus always takes the time to give advice if you have some questions about the hobby.

It looks like you're well on your way to a very nice tank. I love the green-banded goby...just out of curiousity, where did you purchase it from?

@Robchuck, I had seen the greenbanded goby at a LFS for $39.99 and though it was one of the coolest looking fish out there but thought the price was way to high for such a tiny fish. But when I decided to start this tank, I kind of thought of this fish to go along with a pair of onyx clowns (and sexy shrimp). By coincidence I started the tank and Liveaquaria had them on sale for $11.99, also picked up a neon eviota goby that is 1/2" length and is a sweet looking fish. Just like the pic (also on sale by the way) but with some gold colored lines from head to tail (couldn't get a good pic). Was thinking of getting more gbg but already thought I'd be pushing the bio-load on such a small tank.

My order was....

greenbanded goby....$11.99
neon eviota goby.......$15.99
sexy shrimp (3)...........$9.99
and some hermits and a zebra turbo snail for my 45 gallon tank. Only bad thing was shipping has gone up ($34.99) since the last time I ordered.

Admiring my lil tank right now and just noticed my slightly larger clown is starting to show his third stripe. I can see it lightlly forming. Only reason why I noticed it was because the black outline of the white stripe is visible today .:D

UPDATE PICS

Just giving a little up date... I recieved a nano aqua c remora today and decided to move the rocks a little added some small pcs to the tank.

I also removed the heater and placed it inside the remora. I hope it's not a bad move. I also hope these pics are not huge.

The neon eviota goby has been missing for about a week (probably dead) and the green banded goby could not be found after the small changes.

If you notice small tenticles reaching for the clam shell in the second pic, well those are mini stars. I know there mini but how big do they get? I have some with 1" tenticles.

awesome!! I just set up a 10 g nano too. it looks very similar. I don't have good lights for it yet, but I aquascaped the rock today. I have the Penguin 350B on there so I have a ton of water movement, no room for the skimmer. I will take pics tomorrow
