Pics of My First Rose!

I finally got my first RBTA yesterday. Fully open, it's only about the size of a half dollar. Coloring is fantastic, I couldn't be happier.

Since it's so small, any tips on how to keep it happy? How about food? My previous anemone (from a prior tank) was a huge LTA that would eat almost full sized silversides so I'm not new to their care. I just never started with one so small.

Normally, I'd never say this, but I'm happy my clown is ignoring it. Hopefully she won't discover her new home until it is big enough to withstand the abuse.

About an hour after putting it in the tank.

And about 24 hours later, looks OK so far.

Looks good. Mysis shrimp would be good to feed it when you're ready. You might want to wait a few days before feeding to let it adjust to your system first.

Oops, I didn't know about the waiting part. I wanted to know if it would eat so I gave it half a piece of krill this afternoon. It seemed to take it pretty well but I'll make sure to wait until midweek before feeding it again.

My first RBTA decided to attach to my Koralia nano PH last night. Really cut up part of it. I have it in a basket now.

Thanks for the compliments/help everyone. I'll pick up some mysis and try that around mid-week.

So far, it has only moved a couple of inches, but I cleared all the coral on that half of the tank just in case.

yup that is smart, as if anemone wanders in a fully stocked reef it can get ugly. BTW nice anemone, it will be large in no time.
