Pics of my new baby...

Just wanted to show off my new baby. She was eating at Beldt's, so I couldn't resist.

Yes, I know I need to clean the front. I'm also fighting (now I'm finally winning, although I'm not sure you can tell from the pics) a bad case of cyano which happened right before the tank switch.

The yellow tang is playing nice now (he was p$$d the 1st day).

It eats a bit of mysis (unfortunately still prefers brine...) Hopefully I can improve the eating habits. I'm going to try frozen angel formula and fresh mussels/clams.

Thanks--

Hey JWalters...you can see the speckled zoas spread out on the rock below the ph on the right. Let me know if you're ever in the area, and I'll give your frag back!

What did you do for your cyano? I couldn't figure out why I suddenly had a huge cyano problem then I noticed that one side of the tank looked really yellow. I checked the bulbs and one's glass envelope had broken in two which must have shifted the spectrum. I got a new bulb, did huge water changes, changed charcoal but nothing helped. I finally picked up some Chemi-Clean on Tuedsay and everything was cleared up by Thursday night.

I was very close to using chemi clean because it was thick and all over everything. I think part of the fix was the Euroreef. When it started I was still in the 55 and using a CPR bakpack. I'm sure the Euroreef brought the excess nutrients down. Other than that, I peeled junk the cyano off the sand every day, then blew it off the rocks and siphoned it out. It's still there in spots, but not covering everything or growing back nearly as fast.
